Dance on Fire - Paperback

Hello, Fire Enthusiasts. Having two posts back to back must be some sort of record, don't you think? Actually I think it ties a record.

In any event, since my novel, "Dance on Fire", was released last February, many have bought the electronic version, be it for Kindle, Nook, iPhone or just to read on a computer, and I thank all of them. Having said this, many have continually asked me about a potential paperback version. For those, I am pleased to join Vamplit Publishing and announce that the paperback is now available at Vamplit's Ebookundead.com store.

With the rise of e-books, brick and mortar stores are really beginning to feel the heat and that is unfortunate. Just as vinyl gave way to cassettes and eventually cd, paper novels may also one day give way; however, there is still something special about holding one's novel in your hand, just as I did all of those writers that I adored growing up. Therefore, you can well imagine how I will feel that day my novel arrives at my door and I can sleep with it beneath my pillow.

Too much?

Fine, I take it back.

No, I don't.

We'll talk soon.

  1. Congrats! That's really exciting. I'm a book person myself. I'm not too thrilled with this ebook rise! Hopefully my lifetime won't see the end of hardback and paperback production. :)

  2. Hi, Laura. Thanks for stopping by. You know, I'm with you on this, but I won't be surprised if it does. I think the thing that will have to happen is book sellers turning themselves into hang outs. They would have to not only sell physical books, but e-books, too. They would have to have places to sit and have coffee, even if you are holding a Kindle or Nook. Otherwise, they're toast! This past summer, my teacher-wife read about 8 books during her break, rather than the 5 she normally would have. It's the whole convenience thing...
I used to love to bring my vinyl records home; the new record smell, the large photos to scan, the lyrics to read along to, along with other surprises. Cd's aren't the same, but the convenience wins.
    We'll see what happens.
    Thanks again.

  5. Thanks for stopping by, Ladies. You're always welcome anytime you would like to visit!! Happy Holidays to you both and to your loved ones. Finally getting my paperback released has been one heck of a Christmas present that I did not anticipate receiving. You can bet that I will have a hard time letting go of it once it arrives. There is still a part of me that will not quite believe that I am a published author until I get that first paperback in my hands. :)
Happy New Year to you both,

    -Jimmy

  6. Jimmy, I wonder how your wife will feel about you sleeping with your book. LOL.

Sorry I've been absent lately. The holidays do me in every year. :-)

Happy release day and Merry Christmas!

  7. Thanks for the note, Maria. Do you think my paperback will look like a child's doll, threadbare and wore out by the time I become accustomed to setting it down??
I hope things are starting to settle down for you now that the holiday season is nearly over. Take care and have a happy new year.

Thanks for stopping by. I really appreciate you taking the time. I'll get back to you here or on one of the other social networks. It's not like we're not on all of them, right? ;) Also, if you're here to give me an award - bless you. However, your friendship and visits are more than enough. Thanks and blessings.
